Ugandan musician Jose Chameleon is counting loses after a heavy downpour destroyed the venue of his much anticipated concert Gwanga Mujje.

This afternoon, heavy rains left the stage at Lugogo Cricket Oval  flooded. The stage which was set up by Fenon records was blown to the floor by heavy winds leaving it completely vandalized.


Fans who had arrived at the venue ahead of the concert were left stranded with nowhere to go, as the entrance was sealed off as precautionary measures.

Chameleon released a statement announcing postponement of the concert from tonight to 24th February.

"We shall be back bigger and stronger on 24th February. For all my fans, keep your tickets safe. See you on 24th! The devil is a liar, am so sorry about all this I am still vigilant though, and cannot be conquered this easily. God’s power will unveil itself soon."

Jose Chameleon had earlier disclosed that the Gwanga Mujje Concert was meant to  provide a world class experience for his fans who have been supportive for 25 years.

The musician said he was dedicating the concert to Ugandans as a sign of love, peace and unity.

The musician was expected to entertain his fans with a couple of songs including “Baliwa”,”Shida Zadunia”,”Kuuma Obwesigwa”,”Nkwagala Nyo”,Tubonge and so many others.

His brothers Pallaso and Weasel  were also expected to perform at the glamorous concert.
