Lilly Asigo, the wife to Legendary Genge artist Jua Cali, has disclosed that they had broken up for months last year.
In an interview with Lofti Matambo on Gumzo la Sato, Lilly said as a celebrity couple, their relationship is not a secret but they live privately without sharing everything on social media.
"Hamjui ya kwamba mimi na Jua Cali tulikuwa tumeachana for months. Hakuna mtu alijuwa. Kwanini? Tunaishi privately. We're not a secret but we have a private life.Tulikosana, na si kitambo, ni mwaka jana. Lakini sikuenda nikaposti nikasema huyu naye akanikosea ama naye pia kusema bibi yangu nini nini. Sometimes take time. Naweza kuwa nimekukosea kwasababu mimi ni binadamu lakini tunaweza solve bila kucomment."
She declined to share the reason that made the two separate for months, saying it was a private issue that was resolved privately.
In 2019, Lilly Asigo opened up on how she almost moved out of their home.
She revealed she had challenges adjusting to living with the rapper among other things. Her revelation was in response to Juacali saying that he holds her in high regard for the sacrifices she made in favour of his career.
From her experience, Lilly further revealed that what makes a marriage work is what a couple does behind the scenes.
