Kenyan rapper and businessman KRG the Don has disclosed his source of wealth.

Speaking in an interview with Iko Nini podcast, KRG said his grandmother left her inheritance to him before he even turned 18.


" My grandpa died 30 days before I was born. He said the next child my mother was carrying would inherit her wealth. That was me so when my Grandma died in 2007 she called everyone and announced all the wealth left behind was mine. grandma made me rich."

KRG also revealed he had a contract to supply ballast and sand  during the construction of the SGR  from 2014 to 2016 and he also made good money from it.

In a previous interview, the rapper said his family saw his potential and invested in him indirectly.

"My dad used to give me a lot of money, he used to give me like Sh150,000 and I only needed Sh40,000. I was keen and used it wisely."

In October last year, KRG the Don  revealed that his networth is Ksh 5 Billion. Speaking during an interview with Dr. Ofweneke on Tv 47, the musician said his wealth has grown over the years adding that he made his first million in 2008 when he was 17 years old.

He said he has invested in real estate, transport and music business. 

He said anyone who doubts his wealth should report him to any authority as he is ready to account for his money.

The Dancehall artiste is known for his flashy lifestyle and is always quick to brag about his fortunes.
