Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan 42 and her boyfriend Shakib Lutaaya 30 have reportedly tied the knot in a private ceremony.
In a video shared on social media, Shakib was captured putting a ring on Zari's finger in a traditional islamic wedding known as a Nikkah ceremony.
The wedding was a surprise to many and it is said it took place in South Africa with only a handful of people invited for the nuptials.
They are both wearing traditional regalia and Zari hugs him after wearing the ring.
They seal the moment with a kiss. There is also an official family photo moment outside a residence where a man is heard shouting joyfully.
"Happy is the man who finds a true friend. Congrats the Lutaayas," Shakib captioned one of the photos.
The two lovebirds have been dating for a year now despite facing backlash on social media due to their age difference.
Last year, Shakib's first wife Shamirah Nalule accused the socialite of breaking her marriage.
She claimed that Shakib left their marital home to be with Zari since she is successful and famous. She also shared a marriage certificate which shows the two got married in June 2016.
In response, Zari dismissed claims that she was a husband snatcher and accused Shamira of using her name to chase clout.
