Ugandan socialite and Diamond Platnumz's ex Zari Hassan has shared details of her recent wedding with Shakib Lutaaya.
Zari shared that she has everything she needs in life and what she needed was to strengthen her faith as a Muslim, so Shakib gave her a Quran as bride price.
"I have had everything I have ever wanted in this world. God has blessed me with a beautiful life, my kids are okay, and my business is thriving, for or me, I only asked my husband for a Quran because I’m trying to up my faith game. I’m a Muslim too, and he was even surprised when I told him that. So he bought me one, so that it, only a Quran."
According to Islamic tradition, the dowry, known as the Mahr, is negotiated by the couple or their families at the time of marriage. It is a gift or a promise of a gift from the husband to the wife.
Zari Hassan, 42, wedded her young sweetheart Shakib Cham Lutaaya, 32, in a low-key very simple Muslim wedding on April 16th.
