Kenyan comedian and content creator Eric Omondi has travelled to the United Kingdom for Shopping a day after Trade CS Moses Kuria said he regrets sponsoring Eric Omondi's tour to the united states.

Eric Omondi said he was going to the UK for shopping and lunch"Nashukuru sana Moses Kuria kwa kunipeleka America 7 years ago lakini usichange hio topic, conversation ni usitax youths. Ukitax youths watashinda wamekopa walipie deni. So msitax youths." to prove to Moses Kuria that he can sponsor himself for trips abroad.

Eric left the country with nothing but only his air ticket. Sharing on Instagram, Eric Said his only reason to travel abroad was to prove a point to Moses Kuria.

"Aliongelesha jana, today nimeenda UK to show him I can go, Mungu amenibariki. I am going to UK for a day. Naenda UK sababu ya Moses Kuria. Naenda kufanya shopping nirudi."

Eric however expressed gratitude to Moses Kuria for sponsoring him seven years ago but asked him not to tax the youth.

"After hearing Moses Kuria speak, I decided to take myself to London just for Lunch and also thank God for how far He's brought us. Thank you bwana Kuria for Sponsoring my tour 7 years ago but PLEASE dont TAX Content Creators 15% so that they are able to tour on their own. Wewe unaelewa struggle ya Vijana na Wasanii ambia Orezo awapatie time kwanza wa grow."

Moses Kuria and Eric Omondi formed trending topics on social media for the better part of Thursday, June 7.

Kuria opened up about how he once financed a tour abroad for Omondi, a decision he said he now ‘regrets.’

"Seven years ago, I took Eric Omondi to America using my money so he can see the world but from the way he is talking right now, it would have been better if I used that money to party."

Eric Omondi had earlier raised concerns about the proposed housing levy, saying that no Kenyan citizen is without shelter but a huge number of people are struggling to afford basic needs.

"I want to call out the Kenya Kwanza government because we heard them on the campaign trail where they promised Kenyans cheaper life, a better life and an easier life. We are having the wrong conversation; we are talking about housing. The discussion should be about the high cost of living."
