Kenyan musician and business woman Esther Akoth popularly known as Akothee has shared that she was recently invited to attend a mentorship program at Ng'iya Girls High school.
According to the invite, the principal asked Akothee through her foundation, to help reach out to other foundations in an attempt to help the needy and vulnerable students in the school.
The principal also expected Akothee to give an inspirational talk to the students before the start of the charity launch.
Things however took a different turn when Akothee's manager informed her that they could not attend the event as the Bishop of the area was not comfortable with their presence.
The manager added that the Bishop was very hard on Ng'iya Girls High school principal madam Hellen, for extending the invite to Akothee.
In a long post on Instagram, Akothee said she will still support the needy students in the best way she can.
She revealed that the principal was very helpful when she was admitting some needy students in the school and made sure everything went well even though the students reported late.
Akothee also thanked madam Hellen for believing in her noble work and prayed that the charity launch for the needy students becomes a success.
In conclusion, Akothee said the Arch Bishop was uncomfortable with her presence because he thinks she is a sinner. She asked him to continue praying for the sinners so that they can all meet in heaven one day.
