Tanzania Bongo singer Alikiba has responded after Diamond Platnumz asked him to perform at Wasafi Festival.
Speaking to the Media, Diamond Platnumz talked about the upcoming Wasafi Festival and how it all began in Mtwara.
“My first ever show musically was in Mtwara and I was with Ali Kiba. The experience was great and I see Mtwara as home. When I ventured into media, our first Wasafi festival was in Mtwara. When we started the label the first artist(Harmonize) we signed was from Mtwara and you all see the great things he is doing.”
He expressed that his first show was with Alikiba and even though he is working with Alikiba's brother Abduba, he would also be pleased to share a stage with Alikiba again at Wasafi Festival.

"We had a conversation with my brother Abduba Kiba maybe before Wasafi festival begins we might release a song. He is also among the people that will be in the festival. If it pleases his brother(Ali Kiba) we would like to be with he as well and work together. We want to involve everyone si there has to be a programme because Kiba is a big artist and he might be busy with his shows, if he gives us a chance even in one show we will be grateful."
In response, Alikiba said he had not been informed prior and he cannot perform at the festival since he is busy with his projects.
“Niko busy na shughuli zangu,” Ali Kiba told Tanzanian media outlets.
Alikiba said he has no problem with Diamond Platnumz working with his brother Abdul Kina since they are both artists and they are free to work with whoever they want.
Recently, Alikiba and Diamond Platnumz rekindled their beef and they took to social media to blast each other.
Alikiba claimed that Diamond Platnumz should invest in a good production team and vocal training inorder to release better songs. He said Diamond Platnumz is jealous and he feels bad anytime another artist releases a hit song.
Diamond Platnumz accused Alikiba of failing to help his brother Abduba Kiba. He claimed that artists signed under Alikiba's record label always leave because he doesn't help them.
