Media personality Alex Mwakideu has joined Cape Media-owned Swahili radio station Radio47 days after leaving Milele FM.
Mwakideu shared the news with his fans on social media revealing he will be hosting ‘Breakfast 47’ that will run from 6am to 10 am on weekdays. Mwakideu will join Emmanuel Mwashumbe to host the show.

Last weekend, the renowned media personality was forced to issue a statement after being spotted at Radio 47 on Saturday, August 19, 2023, sparking speculation that he could be headed there just days after announcing his exit from Milele FM before making a hasty retreat and announcing that he would stay with the station. At the moment, he claimed he was an invited guest at the station.
At Milele FM the radio journalist was hosting the morning show alongside Jacquey Nyaminde alias Wilbroda.
Mwakideu is among journalists who have joined Cape Media-owned station in recent days as they seek to revamp the station and make a name for themselves in the industry.
Former Citizen TV journalist Willis Raburu joined TV47 yesterday.
