"Thank God I made it out alive," he wrote on Instagram as You saved me by R Kelly played in the background.

In a previous interview in a Sol Generation episode, Bien shared that he was involved in a car accident after highschool an incident which caused Sauti Sol to be together and embark on their musical journey.

On the day of the accident, Bien was on his way to the Embassy to kick start his relocation journey to the United states, but he failed to go as fate had it. He was crossing the road in town when he met a horrific accident that left him toothless.

Polycarp was already pursuing actuarial science. Chimano wanted to permanently go to Paris, and Savara was also meant to go to the States. He was actually supposed to study medicine.

Seeing Bien’s state, the team resolved to do away with their travel plans and concentrate on getting him better. However, for Bien, the experience came as a blessing in disguise as they eventually got to be together and embarked on their music career.
