Nigerian Afrobeat Star David Adeleke well known as Davido has described his experience welcoming "beautiful" twins a year after his three-year-old son's tragic death.
During a conference in New York, the musician revealed that his wife welcomed a boy and a girl in the United States in October, the same month he lost his son Ifeanyi.
Davido noted that what he went through could have made many people want to stop believing in God, but he was still able to have faith and continue doing what he loved to do.
A lot of people that those things happen to - you would never want to believe in God ever in your life. But to still have faith, to still be able to do what I love, having a great team around me and just focusing... I'm almost at the finish line and that's something that I want people to see."
The musician said when he and his wife Chioma - a popular chef and influencer - found out they were having twins, they were shaking.
"When me and my wife found out, we were shaking and it was in the same month. My son passed last year October, my wife gave birth this year October so it’s crazy."
David Ifeanyi Adedeji Adeleke Jr, the son of the Afrobeats singer and his Chioma Rowland, died after an incident in the home on Monday (31 October 2022).
The incident is said to have taken place in the swimming pool of the family’s main residence in Nigeria’s capital city.
Congratulations Davido and Chioma.
