Kenyan comedian and entertainer, Eric Omondi has expressed his compassionate side by organising a fundraiser for Mama Mary, a single mother of six.

Mama Mary, a disabled mother of six (one adopted) was recently harassed by city council Askaris.

Eric Omondi took it upon himself to mobilise his followers on social media to raise money in an attempt to change the woman's life.

He shared a video of the county Askaris dragging mama Mary on the ground, during the crackdown on vendors in Nairobi city.

"This is a Disabled Single Mother of 5. She has been hawking for 20 years. County Askaris not only harassed her but destroyed her items. If you know her please send me her Contacts🙏🙏🙏. WAKIANGUSHA TUNAINUA!!!! I am looking for her Urgently!!!"

Yesterday, Eric Omondi went live on social media and mobilised his followers to send money to help Mama Mary. Early today, he announced that so far he has received Ksh 817,000 and urged people to continue contributing.
