American singer and multi award winning RnB singer, actress and entrepreneur Ciara, has recognised fast rising Kenyan musician Okello Max after he did a remix of her hit song 'how we roll' featuring Chris Brown.
Ciara gave Okello Max a recognition on social media and gave the remix a nod of approval.
Taking to her Instagram account, Ciara shared a snippet of Okello Max's remix on her stories along with an approving caption that read, “Good vibes! Africa in the house!"
Ciara had initiated an open verse challenge where she called upon and encouraged musicians and fans alike from across the globe to put their own spin on "How We Roll" and showcase their creativity.
Hopping onto the challenge, Okello who is known for infusing his mother tongue (Luo) into his lyrics, and his deep captivating voice mesmerized the world at large as he took over the song like it was made just for him.
Okello showcased his lyrical talents in the lyrics, rapping over how he'd be down to spoil his lady.
Responding to a post shared on Nairobi gossip's Instagram page, Okello Max thanked his fans for the support and for tagging Ciara in the video until she got to notice his talent.
"Aaaaah I am humbled my people, thanks for the love and support, every share, every tag, everyone who mentions my name both small and big meetings, I am humbled 😌🙏🏾🫂."
Okello Max started off as a background vocalist for Dela, Sauti Sol, Bien, Bensoul, Nviiri, Polycarp, Savara, and Chimano on both solo and collective projects.
He had enormous success with his first song, “Kiss,” in which he collaborated with Jerry Ogalo, and then appeared on the hit song “Rhumba Japani” by Sauti Sol.
