American YouTuber Mr Beast has drilled 52 wells and a bridge in Kenya in an attempt to curb water shortage.
The content creator flew to Kenya, documented the building of the wells, and interacted with students and communities.
He says that the initiative is part of his mission to build 100 wells across Africa, to enable access to clean water for all people.
some of the areas where he drilled the boreholes include a school in Nairiri, Meru county.
He says the 100 wells he is building are going to give half a million people access to fresh drinking water.
Apart from drilling the boreholes, MrBeast could be seen installing water tanks and piping the water for easy access.
Other than the water project, he also gave out computers to some schools. This is part of his efforts to make learning accessible for all. He also donated balls and built bookshelves in some other schools.
He emphasized that his focus is ensuring that his channel is utilized to help those who need it and inspire his audience to follow in his footsteps:
"I’m always going to use my channel to help people and try to inspire my audience to do the same."
