Tanzanian gospel artist Rose Muhando has spoken after Kenyan gospel artist Ali Mukhwana accused her of Conning Pastors.
Rose Muhando hit the headlines after the Kenyan artist accused her of 'eating fare' and refusing to show up for shows after receiving payment.
Mukhwana said he and several clergy members had booked Muhando to perform at their crusade.
Mukhwana said that they paid the Tanzanian singer Kshs200,000 for performance and Kshs50,000 as booking fee. He however came to realise she had double booked.
“She told us her rate card is sh200,000 and we have to give her a booking fee of sh50,000. And because we needed her, we agreed to her rate card. Posters were made and fans were notified.
Once he shared the posters, five people came forward to warn him that Muhando wouldn’t show up for their crusade as she was to appear at other venues on the same date.
He contacted Rose on the issue but she managed to convince him otherwise.
“I asked her if she was going to come to my crusade or not. I reminded her we had paid the fare and met all her other demands. She said those other posters were by individuals who just wanted to use her photo to publicize their crusades," he said.
Addressing the claims, Rose Muhando said she did not attend Mukhwana's crusade due since it was attached to politics. She also shared that there were other factors that caused her to cancel the show without sharing more details.
The Tanzanian that she refunded the money that had been sent to her.
She further said that she is still in Kenya, and told those with complains against her to use the right channels. In conclusion, she said she has forgiven Ali Mukhwana for the accusations.
