Kenyan content creator and photographer Faustine Lipuku popularly known as Baba Talisha and Brian Chira's grandmother engaged in a heated argument over the Ksh 8 million that was contributed for Chira's funeral.

It all started when TikToker Obidan went live and called Chira's grandmother to clarify rumours surrounding the use of the money raised.

The grandmother accused Baba Talisha and his alleged wife, Brenda Wanjiku, of controlling everything. She claimed her phone was taken away by Wanjiku and returned to her a few days after Chira's burial.

The granny admitted to having bought a house worth KSh 3.5 million. She however claimed she was not in control of her bank account and Wanjiku was withdrawing the money for her.

She accused Baba T's alleged wife of threatening to freeze the cash, claiming it was public money. She said she had rent arrears of KSh 140,000, which Baba T paid.

Chira's grandmother said after buying a house, Baba Talisha brought a team to renovate the house, which was higher than the house's buying price.

Following the accusations, Baba Talisha went live to clear the air after, denying all the allegations levelled against him.

"Let them go print bank and M-Pesa statements and share them publicly. Yaani hata shosho anasema KSh 40,000 nilipewa nilienda nazo, oh my goodness."

He added that it is painful that he stepped out to help someone in need and they turned against him but he will never regret the act of kindness. He however threatened to sue her for defamation.

"I would not talk anything about it. Si wameamua kudanganya, wacha sasa tupelekane court. You can’t lie with my name. Hadi sahi anajifanya ati hajui mchango ilikuwa inafanyika surely. Mara ya kwanza vile tulikuwa tukichangisha tukienda huko kwake si alikuwa analia ati hata akipata mahali tu kashamba kadogo akiwekewa kastructure tu atashukuru Mungu."

He said that he still respects Chira's grandmother and eventually the truth will be out but he doesn't see himself doing charity on social media again.

"If you really knew who this Shosho is today…I guess I owe an apology to Chira’s grandfather. I owe him a very big apology. You really don’t know that mother. Watu wa Githunguri wenye wanajua huyo shosho, and what really happened between… let me just not talk. Whatever that Shosho has done for me today, I don’t think I will ever do anything to do with charity on social media."
