Nigerian Afrobeat artists WizKid and Davido engaged in a heated online exchange last night.
The social media feud stated when Wizkid indirectly criticized another artist, claiming that they couldn't compare to him in terms of relevance.
Davido quickly responded, stating that Wizkid was delusional and even went as far as saying that his career was dead.
In his clapback, Davido said Wizkid’s songs are no longer recognised. He boasted that since he entered the music industry, Wizkid and others have not experienced peace of mind.
Responding, Wizkid again reshared the video of his rival crying and begging alongside an emoji of himself laughing.

In response to Davido, Wizkid stated that he (Davido) was not superior to him in the music industry.
The exchange continued with both artists taking shots at each other, but Wizkid eventually decided to end it by stating that he was tired and going to sleep.
Later in the day, Davido decided to retaliate. In a now-deleted tweet, the Unavailable crooner accused Wizkid of being a woman beater. Not stopping there, he also sympathised with victims of domestic violence.
Despite their feud, Wizkid and Davido have collaborated on several successful songs in the past.
The two artists reportedly had a falling out in 2023, which Davido attributed to the fans during an appearance on Drink Champs.
