Kenyan actress Catherine Kamau popularly known as Kate Actress has responded to critics who claim her trip to the united states is sponsored by taxpayers money.

"Continue enjoying tax payers monies. Its sweet as it shortly sits. Next stop should be Maka," wrote a fan identified as rocazkibui.

On Instagram, Kate Actress shared that the trip is aimed at promoting her brand and it is totally self sponsored.



She clarified that her invitation was courtesy of the US embassy.

Days ago, the award winning actress took to her official social media account to reveal her invitation to attend the State dinner at the White House and Luncheon at the famous Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta.

”Good morning, this village girl will be attending the State dinner at the White House and a Luncheon at the Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta by invitation from her Excellency Ambassador Meg Whitman. @usembassynairobi your efforts and commitment towards the growth of the Kenya creative economy are greatly appreciated,” she wrote.
