19 Year old Ian Njoroge has Issued an Apology To the Police Officer He Assaulted days ago along Kamiti Road.
In a meeting with Sonko at his office alongside his parents, Njoroge tendered his apology to Kenyans and to the traffic officer saying the incident will not happen again.
"I take this chance to offer my apologies to the state and Jacob Ogendo. I am sorry and it will never happen again. I am really sorry, he said.
Ian's mother also apologised on behalf of her son and appreciated Sonko's help in getting Ian out of remand.
Ian's father also apologised for his son's mistake, particularly to the police force.
Sonko said Ian has learnt lessons from his mistake the hard way, adding that he has expressed commitment to being a good person going forward.
Sonko revealed he had a heart-to-heart with Ian, "Ian Njoroge is out, we thank God ametoka, although ako na injuries kidogo the mother is here, the father is here, and makosa imefanyika. huyu ni mtoto mdogo, wengi wetu ni wazazi na watoto hukosea. The 19-year-old TUK student was arrested on the evening of Sunday, June 2, after being filmed beating a traffic police officer in Nairobi.
