This isn’t the first time Kartel has hinted at performing in the East African country. Just last month, he took to his X account to reveal that Kenya was a key destination on his world tour, which is set to begin in 2024.
Vybz Kartel was released from prison on July 31, 2024, after his 2014 murder conviction was overturned. He had been serving a life sentence for the murder of Clive 'Lizard' Williams.
The Court of Appeal in Jamaica decided to quash his conviction, citing juror misconduct.
