Super metro conductor Steven Mwangi Alias Makanga Bae, who gained widespread attention on social media for his striking appearance, has tragically passed away.

He was recently involved in a car accident that resulted in his hospitalization, and unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries yesterday.

According to a post shared by super metro, Steven was involved in an accident in his line of duty.

He was admitted at Kenyatta National hospital where he was receiving treatment. An appeal for blood donation had been made on social media.

According to close friends, his leg had been amputated and he was in a coma. They shared that he also needed money for his treatment.

Steven Mwangi gained widespread recognition  after his video while collecting bus fare went viral. Kenyans were quick to notice his sticking looks and full beard.

He has been celebrated for his professionalism and charm in an industry often criticised for its chaotic nature.

He was calm, collected, organised and polite. He was also very neat and clean. This earned him respect amongst his colleagues and Kenyans.

Mwangi had a Degree in Catering but lack of employment pushed him to work as a tout.
