It was a sad day as colleagues, friends and family gathered to say goodbye to digital creator Breda Gatwiri.

The ceremony took place in Thiiri Cultural Centre in Kithoka.

Boda Boda riders in Meru town woke up early to give a heroic welcome to the body of late comedian Tabitha Gatwiri ahead of her burial.

The riders’ decision to stop their usual activities to honour Tabitha touched many people across the country.

It was a clear reflection of the love and admiration they had for the content creator, whose work had brought laughter and joy to so many.

comedian MCA Tricky delivered a moving tribute on behalf of content creators and friends, shedding light on the profound impact Brenda had on their lives.

The content creators who worked alongside Brenda recalled how she would take the time to offer advice, guidance, and a listening ear during difficult times. She created a sense of belonging for everyone, making each person feel valued and important.

Gatwiri died on 30th October just weeks after celebrating her 30th birthday. Her brother, Brian, discovered her lifeless body at home.

The pathologist’s report, conducted at the Kenyatta University Funeral Home, revealed that Gatwiri’s cause of death was due to positional asphyxia with brain oedema.
