The high court has ordered the freezing of Ksh 48 Million belonging to Wilson Nashon Kanani , an employee of the Nairobi county government who is suspected of fraud.

The ethics and anti-corruption commission has been given a go ahead to look into Wilson who has been Accused of using his office to receive bribes and accumulate wealth and assets.

“The court has prohibited him (Wilson), his agents and servants from withdrawing, transferring, disposing, wasting and/or in any other way dealing with funds held in his various bank accounts and from transferring, disposing, wasting and/or in any other way dealing with two high-end motor vehicles.”

Evidence provided in the court documents show that the accused received and channeled Kshs. 506 million through bank accounts held in his name and family members between January 2016 and October 2022. The money raised doubt since he earned Ksh 55,000 per month.

Other assets linked to the accused include a house in Phenom Estate Langata, a residential house and rental premises in Busia, an apartment in Langata NHC and an apartment in Kahawa which he is believed to acquire through corruption.
