The father of the late gospel Musician and pastor Ilagosa wa Ilagosa has admitted that his son was poisoned.
The devastated father speaking to the media during the memorial service of the gospel artist, said someone poisoned Ilagosa when they were on a trip, and it affected him.
" According to what people say, my son was poisoned by a friend. He added poison to his food during a trip and it came to affect him."
He advised people to be careful of their friends and the company they keep close.
The father mourned Ilagosa as a kind, respectful and obedient son who was of great help through his music career. He added that his son renovated his house and he was a great source of joy and happiness to his family.
Ilagosa's Father thanked the gospel artists, fans and friends who have been of great help during this difficult time. He added that Ilagosa will be buried on Thursday 16th February at his home in Vihiga county.
Ilagosa died on 3rd February while receiving treatment at st Mary's Hospital Langata. According to his friend identified as Musalia Mudambi, Ilagosa passed on after being unwell for two months.
Before his death, the 'sala zangu' hitmaker had recorded a video claiming that one of his colleague in the industry had poisoned him in an attempt to end his life.
"They are trying to stop me from preaching God’s word, a well-known adult tried to poison me, I stand on the church altar, my friend, you cannot destroy me. God is with me, He is number one and I will continue preaching about Jesus. I am a seed and I will not die."
