Armed Robbers attacked a radio station in Nakuru and robbed presenters live on air.
Presenters of Mwinjoyo FM were going on with their show on Thursday night when armed Robbers wearing masks stormed the station and ordered them to switch off the transmission and lie on the floor.
"Zima hio kitu. Zima haraka! (Switch off that thing. Switch it off quickly!),” ordered one of the robbers as his accomplices proceeded to ransack the studio."
In a video widely shared on social media, The thugs then proceed to query the presenters on whether there is somebody else in the premises, presumably at an office upstairs, and whether there are CCTV cameras installed.
The attackers continued their business as the programme was filmed live on the station's official Facebook page. They reportedly made away with phones and other gadgets from the studio.
Nakuru East OCPD Martin Wekesa confirmed the incident and revealed that investigations into the matter are ongoing.
