Kenyan musician Colonel Mustafa has been hitting headlines after his video working in a construction site went viral.

The musician later shared that he was in a tough financial situation and was working hard to take care of his mother who is struggling with cancer.

After the musician appealed for help for the second time revealing that he needed Ksh 1.5 Million to complete his mother's treatment, Kenyans trolled him on social media asking to see his mother.

For the first time, Mustafa's Mother appeared on an interview with Mungai Eve where she emotionally shared her journey.

She revealed that she fell sick in 2021 and was treated for several illnesses until 2022 when she discovered she had cancer after she went for a city scan in Tanzania.

She was flown back to Kenya to start the treatment process. She said it was an expensive process and at some point she stopped going for chemotherapy as the family could not afford it.

She openly revealed that cancer had really damaged her kidneys and also two blood vessels. She added that she was told that chemotherapy will really help her and in God’s grace she will be fine.

The mother shared that her son Mustafa is an incredible son and he used to help the family until the fall of his music career. She admitted that she had no idea he was working in a construction site until the video went viral.

She thanked God for using a random person to take the picture of her son, adding that the photo changed everything. She revealed overwhelming support from kenyans has really helped her. Her treatment process is now going on swiftly and maybe very soon things will be fine.
