The Pwani University fraternity is mourning the death of Faith Owino, a first year student who was stabbed to death under Unclear Circumstances.
Faith succumbed to her injuries following a suspected knife attack at around 7:30 pm on Friday, October 20 2023.
The student was reportedly stabbed multiple times by her assailants along the now-notorious Misufuni road while returning home.
She was rushed to Kilifi District Hospital's Emergency wing, where she succumbed to her injuries at about 10 pm.
According to an appeal for blood posted by Pwani University Student Association chairman Nashon Okoth, Faith lost a lot of blood in the attack. They had initially appealed for blood donation in an attempt to save her life.
"Good evening, comrades. Following the proceedings of the stabbed comrades. We are appealing to anyone with blood group A+ to reach the Kilifi District emergency wing so that we can save her life."
Students now allege that a similar incident occurred last year.
Faith seemed to have a close-knit relationship with her friends, who expressed their shock at the news of her demise.
