Kenyan pastor Victor Kanyari has come out to explain why they buried his sister Starlet Wahu 2 Days after her death.
Speaking to the congregants on Sunday, the controversial pastor said he was the one who convinced their family to bury his sister fast.
He said his sister died on Thursday morning and was buried on Saturday 8 AM. The funeral was attended by family members only.
"Niliambia mama yangu, kwa maana amekufa na hatafufuka, tumzike. Alikufa Thursday saa kumi asubuhi, Friday tukatayarisha kila kitu, Saturday saa mbili tukamzika tukiwa watu ishirini peke yake, na hio mazishi ikaisha."
He said he didn't want to do a fundraiser for his sister's burial.
"Hatukutaka aibu na hatukutaka mchango. Wale walikua wananitumia mchangi nilikua narudisha. Nilisema sitaki kuchangiwa mazishi ya sister yangu, nitatoa pesa zote na nitasimamia mambo yote ya mazishi."
Pastor Kanyari added that the only wrong decision his sister did was to trust someone she did not know.
Wahu's lifeless body was found in an Airbnb in South B, Nairobi. She and the suspected murderer had been seen getting into the Airbnb on January 3 at night.
A postmortem examination of her body showed she was strangled and had a deep cut wound on her leg in the thigh which had cut her vein.
The autopsy said she had also lost a lot of blood leading to her death.
