The family of Charles J. Ouda and Ciru Muriuki is in mourning following his untimely death.

According to a post shared on social media, Charles died on the night of February 3, 2024 at the age of 38.

Charles who was also a director and scriptwriter is known for his contributions to various film projects like ‘Makutano Junction,’ ‘The First Grader,’ and ‘Count It Out.

Charlie has also starred in other television shows like The Know Zone Changing Times [KTN], Higher Learning, Changes, Mali [NTV], Second Family, Crime and Justice [Showmax] and Salem [Maisha Magic].

His outstanding abilities garnered him numerous accolades, including the prestigious title of Best Director at the 2016 Asian American Film Lab 72 Hour Shoot Out and multiple awards from the NYC Indie Film Awards

Ciru, former BBC Africa presenter, and Charles had joyously shared their engagement news in September 2023, captivating the hearts of many with their adorable moments.

In a life update video posted on Ciru’s Instagram page, the couple playfully teased their followers about recent events in their lives.

In the video, Ciru humorously inquired about potential mishaps, such as getting a speeding ticket, before revealing the most precious part of the announcement—the engagement ring on her right hand.

Charles, the popular actor, director, scriptwriter, and events manager, joined the frame with a radiant smile, confirming the joyous occasion.
