Popular video vixen Sarah Serea Njogu popularly known as Sarah Gwan was laid to rest today in Karatina.

Family and friends gathered to say their goodbyes in an emotional ceremony. They read their tributes which described Sarah as a beloved daughter, sister, mum and friend who was taken away too soon.

Sarah Gwan fell from the second-floor balcony of a building in Seasons, Kasarani on 25th June 2024. She was in the company of three friends,two women and one man.

Sarah died four days later while battling for her life at Kenyatta National Hospital.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, her father, Geoffrey Njogu, said a police report filed at Kasarani Police Station linked the three friends to Sarah's fall. The friends were later released on bail.

Her mother, Mary Wanjiru, dismissed earlier claims by her friends that Sarah had taken her own life.

They described her as a strong-willed and determined individual who would never take her own life.

Sarah’s sister, Purity Njogu, echoed these sentiments, stating, “Sarah was not suicidal. She had faced numerous challenges but always persevered.

The circumstances surrounding the untimely death of Sarah remain unclear and her family is demanding justice.

Sarah Gwan was a prominent figure in Kenya’s entertainment industry, featuring in music videos for artists such as Redsan, Willy Paul, Bensoul, Ommy Dimpoz, and Reckless. Her sudden death has left a gap in the entertainment industry.

Sarah has left behind a daughter.
