Bishop Allan Kiuna of Jubilee Christian Church (JCC) was laid to rest today in Thindigua Kiambu County.
The funeral service took place at JCC Paradise, Thindigua.
The funeral ceremony was attended by Several dignitaries including Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, his wife Pastor Dorcas Gachagua.
Kathy Kiuna and two of her three children, Vanessa and Jeremy sobbed uncontrollably while viewing Bishop Allan Kiuna's body at the Lee Funeral Home ahead of his burial.
During an emotional memorial service held at the Faith Evangelistic Ministries Church in Karen on July 15, Rev. Kathy spoke about the significant role Reverend Teresia Wairimu, Allan's spiritual mentor and their 'mum,' played in their lives.
Kathy also spoke about Allan's long battle with illness, which began in 2018. "It was a long journey that started in 2018. In 2021, he started feeling pain in his leg and later became cancer-free in 2023.
Kiuna underwent treatment in the United States for a year, which cost an estimated $3 million (approximately Sh460 million).
Reverend Kathy Kiuna, described him as an epitome of strength who battled cancer with hope.
Kiuna passed away on July 9 at a hospital in Nairobi where he was undergoing treatment.
