On Friday 25th July 2025, Prophet Elvis Mbonye officially launched the Remnant Identity Coalition at the Zoe Grounds in a significant gathering attended by over 2,000 church leaders and ministers from Uganda and around the world. This launch marked the beginning of a new global movement aimed at restoring the Church's influence and authority in global affairs. Prophet Mbonye emphasized that the Remnant Identity Coalition is not merely an organization but a divine alignment of Prophets, Pastors, Apostles, Evangelists, Teachers, Reverends, and Priests, united in a mission to reclaim the Church’s place as a leading force in shaping the course of nations.

Referencing the Bible as a book of divine strategy and stories of transformation, Prophet Mbonye reminded those gathered that Scripture reveals how God's people overcame adversity, led nations, escaped famine, and established prosperity. Yet over time, complacency crept in. The Church, once destined to lead, began to settle for less—accepting being last when called to be first, and living beneath when they were meant to be above. He lamented how spiritual leaders have increasingly withdrawn from public influence, remaining silent as darkness spreads and crises overwhelm society.

The Remnant Identity Coalition was formed as a direct response to this decline. Its mission is to awaken the Church to its original calling and reestablish its presence in the heart of society. Prophet Mbonye declared that the time has come for the Church to move beyond passive observance and become an active, united voice that shapes cultural, social, and political spheres. Through collaboration, the coalition seeks to complement individual callings, share resources and knowledge, conduct joint evangelism missions, and advocate for the protection and empowerment of ministers of the Gospel. It is a solidarity that seeks to counter the rising tide of anti-Christian sentiment and restore God’s order in every area of life.

The launch was attended by numerous respected religious leaders, including Pastor Simeon and Celia Kayiwa from Namirembe Christian Fellowship, Bishop Grivas Musisi of Prayer Palace – Kibuye, Reverend Irene Manjeri from Bethel Healing Centre, Bishop Munene Edward, the NAFBAC overseer for the Busoga Region, Bishop Tomusange of the Born Again Federation, Pastor Kizito Joseph, the General Secretary of the Cooperation for Pentecostals and Evangelicals, Dick Lwegaba, the Prime Minister of the same, and Bishop David King from Hoima. Others included Bishop Nunda K. Idee of Dinawa Ministries International, Apostle Sterling Muwendo James, Pastor Emmanuel Luswata, Bishop Joshua Amanyire Kiiza, Bishop Thomson Byamugisha, Pastor Samuel Kasigwa, Pastor Bweyinda, and many other esteemed men and women of God.

Prophet Mbonye drew parallels to Queen Esther, who realized she was placed in the kingdom of Persia for a time of national deliverance. In the same way, the Church is now awakening to the urgency of her divine assignment—to stand boldly, resist darkness, and lead nations toward righteousness. The Remnant Identity Coalition embodies this awakening, signaling a return to spiritual dominion and moral clarity. It affirms that the Church is not a passive observer but a decisive influence in global events.

The launch of the coalition is therefore a prophetic milestone, marking the Church’s rising from obscurity to visibility, from silence to authority. It is a declaration that the Church will no longer be hidden but will shine as a city on a hill. With boldness and unity, Prophet Elvis Mbonye and the coalition's members are positioning the Church to lead once again, not just in spiritual matters but in shaping the very destiny of nations.
