Kenyan rapper Nyashinski's wife, Zia Bett is mourning following the death of her sister, Janet Bett Karoney.
The mother of one announced her sister's death in a social media post where she noted that she was blessed to have her around.
"Dance with the angels. I was so blessed to have you," she wrote.
In a separate post, Zia further mourned her sister saying;
"Still seems unreal but here’s a tribute to the best to have ever lived. God must love us so much to have given us you as a sister and for that, I’m grateful. This was her favourite song for the longest time. Till we meet again sissy."
This comes a few weeks after Nyashinski and Zia appealed to wellwishers to assist them to raise KSh 10 million meant to cater for Janet’s medical bills.
In the appeal, the family had disclosed that the deceases was suffering from a rare blood disorder known as, Severe Aplastic Anaemia.
She was diagnosed with the condition on August 10, 2021, and since then she was going for blood transfusion after every 10 days.
Severe Aplastic Anaemia is a rare condition caused by the bone marrow stopping to produce enough blood.
The best treatment for such a condition is undergoing a bone marrow transplant which she was scheduled to undergo in India.
“Unfortunately, this cannot be done in Kenya as there is no hospital that provides the service and we have to ensure that she leaves the country to seek medical attention. We are appealing for funds as her family and friends to help get the treatment she urgently needs,” said Nyashinski.
