Actress Natasha Ngegie, alias Stella Machachari has accused her biological father of being abusive.
Through her Instagram page, the actress alleged that he father physically assaulting both her and her mother.
Stella recounted an incident where her father slapped her mum forcing her to run for help and when she returned, she found her dad choking her mum, noting she had never been so terrified.
She said it happened before she joined Machachari.
"I woke up in the morning to my dad yelling at my mum, and I went to the sitting room to check what was happening
"When I got there, he slapped my mum and looked at me and told me to go back to sleep," she stated.
According to the actress, her mother instructed her to get her uncle, who lived nearby, after slapping her again.
"I managed to run past my dad barefoot but when I got to my uncle’s place, I only found the househelp,” she wrote.
On returning with the househelp, Stella said what she saw horrified her.
"I have never been so terrified in my life. My mum was at the edge of the bed, and my dad was over her, strangling her
"I have never cried and begged that much in my life for him to let her go. I have never felt that useless in my entire life,” she stated.
Stella noted that gender base violence traumatizes the person on the receiving end and trickles down to the children.
“I always thank God my sister never saw that side of my dad. At least my mum got out of that situation,” she wrote.
