As the fight to end drug use and trafficking continues, Police in Thika have launched a manhunt for suspects who fled leaving 86kgs of Marijuana in a vehicle in Kiganjo Village.
According to Kiambu county commander Muchangi Kioi, the substance was recovered packed in a vehicle by the police who were on patrol with help from members of the public.
Giving a statement at Makongeni police station, the commander added that cases of illegal drugs use and trafficking have been on the rise and warned peddlers saying the government is ready to deal with criminals who have been breaking the law.
Members of the public who have been collaborating with the police to bring an end to the vice were commended and urged to continue with the support inorder to protect the society.
The drugs are being held at Makongeni police station as the police continue hunting down the occupants of the vehicle.
