A 30 Year old Caroline Imenza found herself in trouble after police found her attempting to smuggle bhang to a suspect in police custody.
Caroline Imenza had entered the Gilgil Police Station a few minutes after six in the morning and asked to see her husband, Stephen Nyabuto, who is being held at the station.
She had brought a loaf of bread and a flask of hot tea to give to her husband for breakfast.
The officer on duty got suspicious and started going through the items. Inside the bread were five rolls of marijuana, five cigarettes, and a matchbox.
Imeanza was taken to a room for thorough inspection. an additional 80 rolls of the herb discreetly tucked away in her underwear.
The suspect went ahead to bribe the officers with Ksh 2,000 to secure her freedom which only got her in more trouble.
The suspect is currently being held at Gilgil Police Station awaiting arraignment.
