A family in Embu is mourning the loss of their kin who died shortly after his brother sought the services of a witchdoctor in an attempt to recover his stolen motorcycle.
A brother identified as Daniel Ireri lost his motorcycle and he decided to seek the services of a witchdoctor from Kisumu, identified as Collins Kech.
According to the police report, the witchdoctor performed his magic and family members were given strict instructions to follow.
He told the family members that the results would be out within three hours. He also advised that no one amongst the group that was there was allowed to take alcohol nor leave the compound until the time 1436hrs when the three hours would have elapsed. The witchdoctor then left for Kisumu
Contrary to the instructions, David Ngare left home without notice. His brother Daniel went out to look for him and in the process he saw a man unknown to him riding the motorcycle and it emerged that the rider was known to David(the deceased).
They later found David in the market wandering around in the company of his friend and the two were naked.
The two looked helpless and we're unable to talk. The family took them home and called the witchdoctor for help but he demanded for more cash.
After receiving the payment, the witchdoctor said it was too late for David and his intervention couldn't help. After a while he died but his friend responded to the intervention.
Police in Embu are investigating the mysterious death.
