Three managers from Brown Cheese company Limited were arrested after allegedly forcing female employees to undress after a used a sanitary pad was found in the dustbin.

In the disturbing Tuesday incident, several female employees were forced to strip naked by a manager who wanted to know which employee had disposed the sanitary pad in the wrong bin.

The quality assurance manager allegedly got all the women from the team and told them to undress so that she could check who was on her periods so that they could punish them for putting the towel in that bin.

According to investigations by the Gender office at the Tigoni police station, this was not the first time a senior manager forced female workers to strip naked.

The incident was reported by Senator Gloria Orwoba. She added that all institutions should implement the Mensturual Hygiene management policy.

The mission of this policy is to ensure that all women and girls in Kenya can manage menstruation hygienically, freely, with dignity without stigma or taboos, access to menstrual products and and to safely dispose of menstrual waste.

Those arrested included the plant's Quality Assurance Manager, Human Resource Manager, and HR assistant.
