Stephen Mokogi Nyarenchi appeared before Milimani Principal Magistrate Ben Mark Ekhubi on Monday 1st July after he was charged with unlawful entry into the parliament compound during Tuesday's anti-finance bill protests.
He was accused that on June 28 at around 0510 hours in Starehe Sub-County within Nairobi, he entered the parliamentary compound by climbing over the fence along Parliament Road without lawful authority.
Nyarechi was also charged with stealing mace from the Parliament which the House officially describes as a 'overarching symbol of authority and dignity'.
He denied both charges and he was released on a cash bail of Ksh.2,000.
