Elon Musk has terminated his plans to buy Twitter citing multiple breaches of the agreement.
In a notice sent to Twitter executives, Musk said he had backed out because Twitter failed to provide enough information on the number of spam and fake accounts.
Following the announcement, Twitter is allegedly set to pursue legal action against Musk.
“The Twitter Board is committed to closing the transaction on the price and terms agreed upon with Mr. Musk,” Twitter chairman Bret Taylor wrote in a tweet.
Musk first announced his intention to buy Twitter in April after launching a hostile takeover. However, the mogul never got around to finalize as Twitter had not been truthful in its claims about the actual number of spammers and bots on the platform.

With Musk bailing on the Twitter takeover, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX would have to pay a $1 billion breakup fee to Twitter (and he could be the target of additional litigation), unless he is able to prove Twitter significantly misled him about factors related to the company’s value.

The dream of creating a male Contraceptive pill has moved a step closer to reality after scientists developed a pill that has been 99% effective in mice.

Vasectomies are surgical procedures which can potentially be reversed, but are generally considered a permanent form of male sterilisation.
The head of medicinal chemistry at university of Minnesota professor Gunda Georg said the pill by the name YCT529 is a non-hormonal drug, which was given to mice orally for four weeks, works by inhibiting a protein important for the normal development of sperm.

Citizen TV news anchor Waihiga Mwaura recently revealed that he was once asked to give a KSh 200 bribe to get a job but declined despite him requiring the opportunity.
The award-winning journalist made the revelation while addressing college students on his experience after campus searching for an internship placement.
"When we got there we were about 200 of us. We had already been given the job but there was only one condition
"It was a must for your health to be okay. We were asked to do a blood test, a medical test involving stool and a urine test,” he said.
Waihiga narrated that it was very early in the morning and he had not taken breakfast, and when he went to the toilet, he found it was a pit latrine.
However, as they debated how to get the tests done, someone came and told them that if they gave out KSh 200, he would make them all bypass those tests, and everyone else gave out the money except him.
"Within two minutes some doctor told us if we give him the money, he will give us all clearance so that we start work on Monday
"In the same group, someone volunteered to collect the money and when he got to me, I refused. Something told me that if I start giving out bribes now, I will never flourish,” he added.
Waihiga then went to town to Kencom, walked into a hotel, took breakfast, and collected the samples.
When he got back to the hospital, everyone else he was with had already been given the job, and he walked into the doctor’s office to give back the samples.
"I have never forgotten this, 15 years ago. I told him, 'doctor, these are my medical samples' and he laughed. Later on, I found out that he had said the person who refused to give out the money will not get the job but the moment I stepped in there, he was so surprised that out of 200 believers, one was able to stand for God," he added.
Waihiga then said a week later, a job he had interviewed for while trying to get into the media industry opened up, and he was given an immediate starting date.
Rapper Travis Scott, the organizer of the Astroworld Festival where at least eight people died has broken his silence on the controversial event.
In a video posted to his Instagram account on Saturday night, the rapper said;

A section of attendees have since criticized organizers for continuing the show even as unresponsive people were being given CPR and carried away.
However, Scott indicated he was not aware of how severe things had gotten.
"Any time I could make out, you know, anything that's going on, you know, I just stopped my show and, you know, helped them get the help they need," he said.
Video from the concert's live stream showed Scott pausing his performance and looking on in confusion as an ambulance pulled into the crowd before finishing the concert.
The cause of the deaths has not been determined, and officials have not released the identities of the victims.
"Our hearts are with the Astroworld festival family tonight -- especially those we lost and their loved ones. We are focused on supporting local officials however we can," Astroworld organizers said in a statement.

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has launched a crackdown for Kenyans displaying lavish lifestyles on social media but paying little or no taxes.
According to KRA Commissioner-General Githii Mburu, the agency has assigned a number of officers to spend time to social media scouting for wealthy persons whose tax records are not in line with what they showcase online.
Mburu said the move to venture into social media has been occasioned by the agency’s desire to add more Kenyans into the tax bracket in a bid to meet its revenue targets.
Reports indicate that those found guilty of evading tax yet display lavish lifestyle risks facing dire consequences including being banned from travelling outside the country.
Some of the social media sites KRA is keen on infiltrating include; Snapchat, Instagram and Facebook where socialites and other influential personalities always share private details of their lives.
"In the social media, we have some people posting some nice things. You would see some posting nice houses, cars, taking their families to nice places and so on. Here, we are not sleeping, when we see those, we see taxes
"We have our officers looking, they have gadgets. They key in very quickly (the number plate) to check. We are working exceptionally hard," KRA Mburu said.
All eyes are now on the taxman as it embarks on a new crackdown that could see most socialites and ‘soft-life’ ambassadors end on the wrong side of the law.

Facebook said on Thursday, October 28 it would rebrand as Meta, a name change that underscores its ambitions to refocus the world's largest social network on building the "metaverse."
The rebrand comes as the company battles criticisms from lawmakers and regulators over its market power, algorithmic decisions and the policing of abuses on its platforms.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg, speaking at the company's live-streamed virtual and augmented reality conference, said the new name reflected its focus on building this new virtual realm rather than its namesake social media service.
"Right now, our brand is so tightly linked to one product that it can't possibly represent everything that we're doing today, let alone in the future," he said.
The tech giant said the change would bring together its different apps and technologies under one new brand. It said it would not change its corporate structure.
The metaverse, a term first coined in a dystopian novel three decades ago and now attracting buzz in Silicon Valley, refers broadly to the idea of a shared virtual environment which can be accessed by people using different devices.
The company unveiled a new sign at its headquarters in Menlo Park, California, on Thursday, replacing its thumbs-up "Like" logo with a blue infinity shape.
Zuckerberg said the new name reflects that over time, users will not need to use Facebook to use the company's other services.
The company said in a blog post that it intends to start trading under the new stock ticker it has reserved, MVRS, on Dec 1.

Through his Instagram page, the rapper blasted Omondi arguing that the youth should disassociate from politicians who have intentions to use them and instead fight for their own space.

"Jimi Wanjigi has nothing new to offer the youth he's in the same category with the rest of the presidential aspirants so kama yeye ndio solution ya #fagiawote2022 sisi tutaanza na yeye. This is a new youth revolution. Will only support the youth agenda," he added.

The new development came barely a day after Juliani hinted at a romantic relationship with Nganga.
"Asante sana for all who’ve reached out the past couple of weeks. Mola awazidishie. No need for a statement about the obvious issue. I know you can think for yourselves. Draw your own conclusions. I believe in you,” wrote Juliani.

"Last year hours before my birthday, my ex-girlfriend violently attacked me because of my insistence in ending that relationship. It has been a rocky relationship; we had our good days and bad days – and the bad days were physically and mentally exhausting. As she physically
assaulted me, I blocked my face with my hands and one of her blows ended up breaking her fingernail. This is where the facts started getting murky, she ran to a police station and obtained an OB and a P3 form (She is a cop and called her colleagues on me ) then she immediately
Immediately launched a campaign and reached out to bloggers to paint me as an abuser. A few days later, all the facts were laid bare to bloggers and the police and her OB/statement was withdrawn, and she apologized. The consistent misreporting of this incident has become
A dark cloud in my life and I want it to go away. My sincere appeal to everyone; please report the facts – being a victim of emotional and physical abuse is a tough tag to carry, it’s even worse when your grief is taken away by misreporting"
