Embakasi MP Paul Ongili, alias Babu Owino recently interviewed his wife, Fridah Muthoni in a rather rare and unique sitting.
Describing it as a rare opportunity, Babu sat down with Muthoni, where they discussed about her upbringing and educational background..L
She spoke about her school life after Babu put her on the spot, asking about her performances in KCPE and KCSE.
“I got 443 out of 500 marks then I joined Loreto Limuru where I scored an A-minus in my KCSE. I later joined the University of Nairobi where I pursued a Bachelor of Economics alongside an accounting (CPA) and a business management course,” she said.
After her internship, Muthoni was employed at a local bank but her passion was elsewhere and that is how she started her entrepreneurship journey.
“I decided to pursue my passion which is fashion and that is how I started my fashion brand. I loved to draw and design even in high school but after joining employment I decided to revert to what I love,” she said.
During the interview, Babu also asked Fridah why she chose to get married to him despite his shortcomings.
“You are a good man. You have a heart of gold and I was able to see that from the first day I met you. I could tell that you are a good man
“I always saw your goodness and the fact that I was understanding of your background. How many of us make it out of a slum,” Muthoni said.
In April this year, Muthoni confessed her undying love for him with a lovely social media post.
Taking to her social media pages, she penned a heartfelt compliment for the lawmaker thanking God for giving her such nice a husband.
“My soulmate: my truest smile, my best friend, my always and forever, the love of my life. I’m so grateful to God everyday for the real, timeless, deep, unconditional, true, and boundless love that we share. No words could truly express just how much I love you,” she wrote.
The two have been together for over 10 years.
The love birds met at The University of Nairobi when the MP was the chairman of The University of Nairobi Student Association (UNSA), formerly SONU.
