Kenyan comedian turned activist Eric Omondi, Is Building An Ark Amidst Heavy Rains And Floods In Kenya.
The comedian showcased the ark, currently under construction at an undisclosed location. The words 'Sisi Kwa Sisi' adorn the ark which is almost complete.
In a post on social media, Eric said the ark is supposed to help flood victims in the remote parts of Kenya by delivering food, clothing and medicine.
"The Meteorological Department Says that it's about to get Worse!!! But KENYANS are CLEARLY ON their OWN. The Government clearly does not Care or seem to have any PLANS. BODIES are being Retreaved from Rivers while Citizens are being VICTIM SHAMED. SISI KWA SISI has A PLAN!!! WE WILL STAND IN THE GAP!!! THIS MOTORIZED SISI KWA SISI ARK will REACH VICTIMS in the REMOTEST PARTS OF KENYA to SAVE LIVES and DELIVER FOOD, CLOTHING and MEDICINE. GET READY!!!"
He shared that he and his team had already rescued 34 flood victims, noting that many others were still stranded on rooftops submerged by floods.
Eric omondi blamed both the national and county governments for not taking swift action to rescue citizens from the flood risk.
