Kenyans have united to help a woman from Mukuru Kwa Njenga who was dismissed by Pastor Ng’ang’a after she asked for assistance with her rent.
An online fundraiser led by police officer Sammy Ondimu Ngare has raised over Ksh392,000 for her M-Pesa account by Saturday, 1st February, 2025.
Sammy Ondimu revealed that comedian and content creator, Terrence Creative paid for her three months rent as well as her son’s school fees.
Furthermore, he disclosed that rent defaulters in Mukuru Kwa Njenga normally have their doors welded to stop them from gaining entry to their houses.
The woman made headlines after she was humiliated by pastor Nganga after revealing that she had no money for rent.
Pastor Nganga directed her to seek help from the police or the Nairobi City County Government led by Governor, Sakaja.
Ondimu announced on his Facebook page that the fundraiser is still open, encouraging anyone who wants to contribute to keep sending their donations.
With the donations set to go higher, the woman has since landed a job at Express Way Lounge along Mombasa Rd.
